Ancient Era

Medieval Era

Renaissance

Classical

Romantic

Romantic music emphasized emotion, passion, and dramatic storytelling. Composers expanded the orchestra and experimented with harmony. Key composers include Chopin, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky.

Modernist

Modernist music broke tradition, introducing atonality, new rhythms, and abstract musical ideas. Composers explored sound in innovative ways, influenced by global and technological changes.

Postmodernist

Postmodernist music mixes styles, cultures, and digital elements. It embraces experimentation, blending classical, electronic, and world music influences.
